In the new Tudor Beasts Series, the Royal Mint starts off with coins available in the BU range that match the options offered in the previous Queen’s Beast Series. Celebrating the heraldic beasts used for over a century by the Tudor monarchs, this collection offers a number of different designs on five different BU coins with each release.

Henry Tudor’s defeat of the forces of King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field brought an end to the Wars of the Roses, a long-running conflict for control of the English throne. Henry’s victory and subsequent marriage to Elizabeth of York resulted in the union of the House of Lancaster and the House of York and marked the founding of the House of Tudor, a dynasty that would rule for nearly 120 years.
