What is IDC Verified?
IDC is an abbreviation for International Diamond Center, and began operating in 1981 as a Coin and Bullion dealer and 2 years later began working with Johnson Matthey as a distributor for gold chain and jewelry.
With rapid growth IDC opened its first retail location in Clearwater, FL in 1990, and has built a reputation of providing consumers with hand selected diamonds that would only meet the quality standards set forth by founder Keith Leclerc.
In 2007 IDC returned to its early roots and opened a new division, IDC Coin and Bullion specializing in rare coins, collectibles, and precious metals. This rapidly growing division is focused on being one of the industry leaders in certified coins by working with Tampa based Independent Coin Graders thus creating IDC Verified.
IDC Verified Diamond Labels mean the authenticity has been verified by IDC professional numismatists before and after grading allowing the collector to feel secure with any coin or precious metal purchase.
One of the goals with our IDC Verified is taking the quality standards set forth in our diamond division and bringing this integrity into the world of grading coins to the market. All IDC Verified Holders are only produced using components proudly manufactured in the USA.
One motto we follow at IDC Coin and Bullion is one said by a well-known coin dealer, “the coin will tell you everything you need to know about its history.”
We value all reputable grading companies and another motto we follow is to buy the coin and not the holder so our primary focus when encapsulating any coin or collectible is the preservation of the past allowing these items to stay in their current condition often holding value over time.
