The proof colorized silver coins in this listing have frosted design elements overlaying mirrored fields. The reverse depiction of Sean Connery in his legendary role as James Bond includes a black-and-white depiction of the actor.
Connery was chosen as the first actor to step into the shoes of British Secret Service Agent James Bond. The first film’s producers, Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, chose Connery to play the lead in 1961. Connery would go on to perform in a total of seven films as Bond, a mark later tied by Roger Moore in the 1970s.
On the obverse side of 2021 Proof Colorized James Bond Legacy Sean Connery Silver Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley, a popular effigy of the Queen featured on British, Australian, New Zealand, and other Commonwealth nation coins.
