The 2022 Lady Germania 1 oz Silver Round is a beautiful round honoring the personification of Germany, Lady Germania. She looks strong and determined, striding onto shore from her boat as a continuation of the scene we saw in the 2021 round with her at the bow of her ship. On the other side of the coin is the Germania Mint’s logo-a two headed eagle holding lightning bolts. The art on this limited edition coin really pops in .9999 fine silver expertly crafted from the Germania Mint.

Using .9999 fine silver, the Germania Mint has created something special with this Limited Edition coin featuring the majestic image of Germania stepping onto shore.. She is wearing the traditional laurel wreath on her head and is clad in a breastplate of armor with cloth falling from her waist. In her right hand she is wielding the imperial sword, Reichsschwert. In her left hand, she holds a flag that flows back behind her. Around the edge of the coin we see ‘Germania’, ‘2022’ and ‘999.9 Ag’.
The reverse side of the coin features the effigy of the Germania Mint, a fierce looking eagle with two heads and holding crooked looking arrows which are supposed to be lightning bolts. The eagle is surrounded by olive branches. The two headed eagle would be familiar to the German people as it is a symbol of Janus from Germanic Mythology. The eagle’s two heads are pointing two different directions symbolizing the past and future. Perhaps this effigy reminds us of the Germania Mints strong past and bright future.
The Germania Mint has a strong foundation having been founded by the Kurowski Group, a group that has overseen thousands of numanistatic projects in the past. They forged the ideals that would govern the mint’s production including creating the coins and packaging. The mint only uses quality metals and creates packaging that protects the coins against outside elements.
