About James Bond
Created by the novelist Ian Fleming in 1953, James Bond, also known as 007, is a British secret agent working for MI6. The iconic spy has been portrayed in the films by actors Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Featured in over 27 productions, Eon Productions made all of the films but two. The James Bond films have been nominated for several awards throughout their 50-year history. Most films won an award and include successes at the British Academy Film Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Academy Awards.

The Royal Mint’s James Bond coin collection began with the Aston Martin DB5, the classic Bond car, followed by a coin featuring "Wet Nellie," the futuristic submarine car. The series continued with a coin exploring the style and luxury that has characterized the 007 films. Created by graphic design partnership Christian Davies and Matt Dent, the reverse shows Bond in a classic dinner suit accompanied by those famous words, "Shaken Not Stirred." The stylish products celebrate James Bond, the world-famous and quintessentially British spy, alongside his sophisticated and intriguing world. They are reflecting the opulence and luxury of Bond’s breathtaking adventures.
