Until the release of the first-ever Fortuna bullion bars from PAMP Suisse, silver bullion bar production largely consisted of large cast or loaf poured bars designed purely for the investor. The Fortuna Series introduced intricate designs to silver bars for sale for the first time and led to increased variety in this field. Wall Street Mint Silver Bars with a Type 1 design took advantage of that trend to deliver beautiful design elements on minted ingots.

Although you won’t find a date mark on these 10 oz silver bars, the Wall Street Mint issued these 10 oz WSM Silver Bars with a Type 1 design in 2002 following the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The bars weren’t initially intended as a commemorative piece, but rather as a source of pride to showcase the unflappable determination of New Yorkers. However, due to the popularity of their designs, it has been very hard to find these silver bars in the years since the 2002 release.
All 10 oz Wall Street Mint Silver Bars in this product listing are available to you in new condition and come with protective plastic sleeves to house the bar itself. Each one is considered a Type 1 design to help differentiate from later silver bars produced under the Wall Street Mint name with alternative designs of the New York City skyline.
On the obverse of the 10 oz Wall Street Mint Silver Bar is a stirring depiction of the skyline of New York City in the days before 9/11. Viewed from the water, you can see various skyscrapers from New York City as you look from left to right that culminates with the image of the massive Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Now gone from the skyline, these 10 oz WSM Silver Bars offer their own memoriam to those iconic structures.
Inscriptions on the obverse of the bar include “Wall Street Mint” above the skyline and “Ten Troy Ounces .999 Fine Silver” below it. The reverse face of the bars includes a repeating design of the mint initials “WSM.”
