The privately owned Pressburg Mint was established in 2015 and is currently based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Prior to that, Bratislava had endured a fairly long dry period in the precious metals field. However, from 1430 to the 18th century, the region operated several mints and was considered a financial center of the Austro-Hungarian empire. And long before that, Celtic tribes produced ancient BIATEC coins around 50 BC in the area that would become Bratislava.
The Public Seal of Niue is featured on the obverse of 2023 10 oz Silvernote Rectangular Silver Coins. In the center of this emblem there is a decorative circle containing various plants found on Niue island. Surrounding this is a ring of garland, which represents the 14 Niuean villages.
The obverse also features a decorative flower design set against a stylized line backdrop. Above this, inscriptions of the coin’s hallmarks are found. Also, if you examine the lower left portion of the field you will find both the logo for Pressburg Mint and the coin’s unique serial number. The reverse of the coin was left intentionally blank.
When you purchase 2023 10 oz Niue Silvernote Rectangular Coins you will receive a .999 pure silver specimen in BU condition. These coins were also made in partnership with Niue Island, where they are recognized as legal tender. Upon arrival, they will be packaged in vacuum-sealed plastic.
