Introduced in 2015 by the Scottsdale Mint, the Biblical Silver Coin Series features a set of new designs each year. The collection focuses on the works of Gustave Dore from 19th century. His wood carvings captured scenes from the Old Testament and the New Testament alike, with many of those chosen for replication in this series.
All of the 2022 2 oz Jesus Healing the Sick Biblical Silver Coins available here come with individual packaging. The coins are housed in presentation booklets with a Certificate of Authenticity available from the mint. Each COA features a verse from the Bible that aligns with the design on the reverse.
On the obverse of 2022 Jesus Healing the Sick Biblical Silver Coins, you will find the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the 1985 design from Raphael Maklouf. This visual shows an ageless image of the Queen as she wears the George IV State Diadem.
The reverse side of the 2022 2 oz Jesus Healing the Sick Silver Coin depicts Christ at the center of the field. He is shown tending to the wounds and illnesses of the sick and dying. Leprosy was a leading ailment in the Bible and one that Christ was credited with healing.
