China first introduced the Silver Panda coin series in 1983, and every year since, a new variation of the Panda series has been introduced. The coins have recently been in short supply. On the front of each series is the famed “Temple of Heaven” located in China’s capital of Beijing. The silver Chinese Panda has a beautiful finish where parts of the silver coin are ultra cameo (glossy) while other areas are matte finished. This gives the Chinese Silver Panda the appearance of “popping” out of the coin at times. Silver Pandas are very popular among collectors and investors alike. These silver coins are one of the most expensive silver coins produced by a sovereign mint.
