The Australian Kookaburra is the longest-running silver bullion series at the Perth Mint. Introduced in 1990, it was the first bullion coin series from Perth Mint, along with the Gold Kangaroo, to feature fresh depictions each year of a native Australian species on the reverse of bullion coins.
