The Freedom Girl's portrait is depicted here in profile, gazing into the future as her curly hair flows around her face. She wears a hoop earring and on her shoulder is a tattoo of the trivium, a symbol representing individual freedom.
The reverse design on this round shows the Silver Shield logo. There have been different designs in the last few years, one featuring a classical trivium in front of a "flower of life" background, the other using similar geometrical shapes with a sword in the centre.
