The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is one of the Royal Canadian Mint’s most popular products and a silver bullion piece that is trusted by investors around the world. Introduced in 1988, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf concept is available in various versions each year. One of the more recent and unique versions is the Twin Maples design.

Each 2020 2 oz Canadian Silver Twin Maples Coin listed here is available to purchase with a protective plastic flip for each individual coin. Multiples of the coin are available in tubes of 14 or boxes of 280 coins. The coins in the Canadian Twin Maples release are reverse-proof specimens. A reverse proof exhibits an impressive mirrored finish on the design element with a frosted background field.
The Canadian Twin Maples design is a worthy evolution of the design of the long-running 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf. The two-ounce coin has a design from Celia Godkin that includes two maple leaves connected at the base of the stem, rather than the original design’s use of a single maple leaf standing straight up-and-down on its stem.
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of 2020 Canadian Silver Twin Maples. The design shown here is the fourth-generation effigy of Her Majesty to feature on Canadian coins. Designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt, it is not only the fourth portrait of the Queen used on Canadian coins, but it is also just the second designed by a Canadian artist. This design is also the first during her reign to feature the Queen without a crown on her head.
Twin Maples showcase on the reverse field of 2020 2 oz Canadian Silver Twin Maples Coins. This design from Celia Godkin showcases two elegant sugar maple leaves. The leaves are set side-by-side with their individual stems meeting in the middle at a singular, larger stem. The design field includes radial lines along the outer rim of the central element and the Royal Canadian Mint’s Bullion DNA feature. This micro-engraved privy mark depicts a maple leaf with the final two digits of the date mark, “20,” visible only under magnification.
