The Florida Two Goldback celebrates the virtue "Fortitudo" (Fortitude) as a tribute to the resilience and strength of the Seminole people. Collaboratively designed with the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, it reflects the Seminole Tribe’s legacy of unity, resistance during the Seminole Wars, and thriving cultural and economic achievements. The artwork features a Seminole woman standing in a traditional dugout canoe amid the Everglades, symbolizing balance and purpose. Her vibrant patchwork dress, intricate beadwork, and the chickee hut behind her honor Seminole craftsmanship and adaptability. Surrounded by rich Everglades wildlife and framed by the radiant Florida sun, the design celebrates the Tribe's enduring harmony with nature, cultural preservation, and leadership in conservation efforts.
