In 2020, the Perth Mint revived a previous collection of Greek-mythology-themed coins with a new Gods of Olympus Series. This six-coin release includes depictions of three gods and three goddesses, with five options for each of the six design releases.

Each 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Silver Gods of Olympus Athena Coin comes to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These coins are all individually housed in acrylic capsules. Multiples will be packaged in sealed rolls of 20 coins or in boxes of 100 coins with a total of five rolls inside the box.
Athena is well-known to fans of Greek mythology who have read the Iliad, or the Odyssey. She played an active role in this tale by assisting the Achaeans. Generally speaking, Athena is associated with warfare and wisdom.
The obverse side of 2022 Tuvalu Silver Gods of Olympus Athena Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief and wears the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This portrait was created for the Royal Mint in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley and is the most widely used of her reign.
On the reverse face of the 2022 1 oz Silver Gods of Olympus Athena Coin, you will find an effigy of the powerful goddess of warfare and wisdom. In the design, she is shown with a shield in her right hand and a spear in her left that she is preparing to throw toward an enemy. Over her shoulder, an owl is depicted flying through the design element.
