1972 C3 Corvette
The 3rd Generation is the second time the Corvette was called Stingray. This name was used from 1969 to 1976. The name "Stingray" was used this time as a single term, in contrast to the C2 Generation from 1963 to 1967 which was called Sting Ray. The name wasn't used again until the C7 was released in 2014.

The 1972 Corvette, like its predecessor the 3rd Generation Corvette, shared a similar engine and chassis. Also, both had an updated interior and body design. The C3 Corvette was based on the Mako Shark II concept car, which itself was designed by Larry Shinoda while working under Bill Mitchell's head of styling and design at General Motors.

This generation of Corvettes was offered as both convertibles and coupes. The 1972 Corvette came with two removable T-top roof panels and a back window as standard for the coupe model. If you opted for the convertible, it featured a soft folding top instead; although, you could get a hardtop by paying extra. Additionally, the 1972 model was the last to feature both front and rear chrome bumpers, a bright egg-crate grill, as well as side-fender grills.

About Corvette
The Corvette is a highly sought-after car that is recognizable worldwide. General Motors has been manufacturing these cars in Bowling Green, Kentucky for more than 30 years. The Corvette, identified as America's sports car, is a noteworthy example of automotive creativity. Continuous production over 60 years has made the Corvette the world's longest-running passenger vehicle. From its creation, the Corvette was predestined to become a star.

The Chevrolet Corvette is a two-door luxury sports vehicle that has been built and distributed by Chevrolet since 1953. It is known for its overall performance, as well as its distinctive fiberglass or composite panels. Until 2019, the engine was in the front of the vehicle and has been mid-engine since then.

The Corvette is Chevrolet's halo vehicle and the only two-seat sports car created by a major United States auto manufacturer.

Zora Arkus-Duntov was a Belgian-American engineer referred to as the “Father of Corvette” for his work on the Corvette. The very first convertible car was revealed in 1953 at the GM Motorama function. Consumers were able to buy it later that year.

In 1963, the second-generation Corvette was presented as a coupe and convertible. It was initially created in Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri until its production moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1981. Bowling Green is also home also to the National Corvette Museum.

The Corvette has become representative of America, often referred to as "America's sports car." Automotive News noted that, after being presented in the early 1960s TV show Route 66, the Corvette became synonymous with terms like freedom and adventure. It is now commonly thought to be both the most popular concept car ever made and the most popular sports car globally.

Customer Reviews

"Amazing service and hospitality from the staff at IDC! Jason was so attentive and patient in our search for our ideal watches. He took us through several options, had us try every watch we were interested in, took our information and continued searching for options. A few hours later, we had our watches on hold and ready for pick up! He located a watch that I LOVE, and a unique piece for my husband. We are grateful to have found our new Jeweler for many pieces to come!"
