Lincoln Cent Struck 95% Off Center Mint Error MS65 BN NGC
Mint Errors are a way to add a unique coin to your collection. This coin features a dramatic 95% Off Center Error, and this happens when a blank which is supposed to be fed into the press, lands in the collar improperly. When this occurs only part of the blank is between the upper and lower dies. When the dies strike the blank, only that part will be struck with a design. The coin gives a freakish appearance as a result, and various amounts of blank planchet space are visible. The coins can vary in value because of how far off center they are struck. The coin has been fully authenticated by NGC as a MS 65 BN (Brown), and due to how severe the off center strike is the date is not visible.
