2000-W Proof Gold/Platinum $10 Commemorative Library of Congress (w/Box & COA)

This beautiful 2000-W Proof Gold/Platinum $10 Commemorative Library of Congress Coin makes a great addition to any collection. The coin comes with a Proof finish and is considered bi-metallic, being made up of gold and platinum for a combined weight of 0.4766 troy oz. The gold ring compliments the inner platinum for an exquisite design!
The obverse features John Mercanti's design of the Liberty Torch with the torch in platinum and its flame in gold. The inscriptions "LIBERTY," "LIBRARY OF CONGRESS," and the year of mintage are seen on the outer gold layer.
The reverse shows the American Eagle with a shield on its chest and the laurel wreaths encircling it. The inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM," is seen below along with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination on the outer gold ring.
This is currently the only bi-metallic coin that has been produced by the United States Mint making it a unique addition to any coin collection.
